India has a network of about 80 National Parks and 441 Sanctuaries, covering four per cent of its land area. Most of them have excellent facilities for visitors. India is renowned for its tigers, elephants and rhinoceros, which form a part of some 500 species of mammals found here. A variety of deer and antelope species can be seen like the Indian gazelles (chinkaras), Indian antelopes (blackbucks), four-horned antelopes (chowsingas), large blue bulls (nilgais), rare swamp deer (barasinghas), sambars, spotted deer and the tiny mouse deer. Also seen are the wild buffaloes, massive Indian bisons (gaurs), shaggy sloth bears, striped hyenas, wild pigs, jackals, Indian foxes, wolves, Indian wild dogs, mongoose, leopards, panthers, rhesus macaques monkey, long-tailed langurs and many more roaming in the deep dense forest.

Depending on the area and terrain, these parks provide ample opportunity for wildlife watching. It may be done from elephant back, from watch towers or even a boat - and the thrill of spotting herds of wild elephant, deer, a rhino or even a tiger, in their natural environment, is very difficult to match.

Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi and transfer to the Siddharth Hotel.

Rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight stay.

Day 02 Delhi/Jaipur by surface (approx. 256 kms/5.5 hrs)
Morning: Combined sightseeing of New and Old Delhi visiting Qutab Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, passing through the Rajpath (which leads from the War Memorial arch India Gate up to the imposing Presidential Palace “The Rashtrapati Bhawan”), and the Red Fort.

Afternoon: Drive to Jaipur and check into hotel Trident Hilton.

Overnight stay.

Day 03 In Jaipur
Morning: Excursion to Amber Fort including elephant ride to go up the fort. Afternoon: Sightseeing of Jaipur visiting Maharaja’s Palace, Royal Observatory and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).

Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04 Jaipur/Ranthambore by surface (approx. 185 Kms./4 Hrs.)
Morning: Drive to Ranthambore and check into hotel Tiger Den.

Afternoon: Jungle Safari. Overnight stay.

Day 05 In Ranthambore
Morning: Jungle Safari

Afternoon: Jungle Safari

Overnight stay.

Day 06 Ranthambore/Bharatpur by surface (approx. 185 Kms./4 Hrs.)
Morning: Drive to Bharatpur and check into The Bagh.

Afternoon: Cycle rickshaw ride in Bharatpur bird sanctuary.

Overnight stay.

Day 07 In Bharatpur
Morning: Boat ride on the Lake in Bharatpur bird sanctuary

Afternoon: At leisure.

Day 08 Bharatpur/Agra by surface (approx. 56 Kms./3 Hrs.)
Morning: Drive to Agra enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri.

Arrive Agra and check into hotel Trident Hilton.

Afternoon: Visit the world famous Taj Mahal (closed on Friday) and Agra Fort. Overnight stay.

Day 09 Agra/Jabalpur by Gondwana Express train (# 2412, daily):
1715 - # 0550 Hrs. (arrival next morning)
Morning: At leisure.

1545 Hrs: Transfer to Agra Cantt. Railway Station to board overnight train for Jabalpur

1715 Hrs: Depart from Agra.

Day 10 Jabalpur /Bandavgarh by surface (approx. 190 kms./4.5 hrs.)
0550 Hrs: Arrive Jabalpur railway station.

Transfer to Bandhavgarh by road enroute visiting Marble Rocks & Waterfalls..

Upon arrival in Bandhavgarh, check into hotel Tiger Den.

Morning: At leisure.

Afternoon: Jungle Safari in Bandavgarh National Park.
